We hope that everyone including our patients and their families have stayed safe during this unprecedented pandemic.  East Bay Optometry re-opened our office on May 20th, 2020.  For now, we will be open 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  We are suspending our Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday hours for the time being.  You will notice some changes to help protect both our patients and our staff.  Please be patient as the volume of visits we can see will be limited based on safe social distancing practices. Prior to your visit, please review our new policies and procedures (see below).

East  Bay  Optometry  New  Policies  and  Procedures

The safety of our patients and our staff is our number  one concern, and we're taking every precaution to ensure as safe of an environment inside our office as possible.  Based on best practices for health and safety we have put the following new policies and procedures in place.

Patients Seen By appointment only

Masks are Required

  • Every patient entering our office will need to have a face mask or cover.
  • If you do not have a face covering you will be asked to reschedule or purchase a surgical mask for $1.00.

Additional Practice Safety Measures

  • Please download the history form on our website and have it filled out completely prior to your appointment.  Also, please bring your own pen.
  • Upon entering, your temperature will be taken, and you'll be asked a series of screening questions. If your temperature is 99.5 or above you will be asked to reschedule and you will not be allowed to enter the office.
  • Once cleared by our screener, you will be asked to either use hand sanitizer, wear gloves that we provide, or proceed to the restroom to wash your hands.  We also ask that you limit touching anything in the office as much as possible.
  • After trying on frames, we ask that the frames be placed into a tray for proper disinfection before being put back on the display boards.
  • Whenever possible, please bring a credit card with a chip for any out of pocket charges.

Dr. Connie Wang and the optometric staff at East Bay Optometry believe that regular eye examinations are as important as dental or medical check-ups. An eye exam can reveal evidence of high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma, and other medical problems.

At East Bay Optometry, we use state-of-the-art techniques including diagnostic drops and high-tech equipment to determine the best solutions for visual prescription needs and to find signs of internal and external disease.

Here at Dr. Wang's office, we are committed to providing each patient with quality vision solutions and exceptional customer service. Our optometric staff includes a licensed optician, experienced repair technician, supervisor of customer service, and optometry student intern.

We all bring many years of eye care experience to the practice and are dedicated to bringing you the best eyecare available.

We also stand 100% behind all our services. We will do what it takes to make sure that you are seeing the best you can.

For children, eye exams are painless and fun.

According to Gesell Institute of Child Development, four out of ten grade-school children will have an eye problem that can affect learning if left untreated early in life. In fact, over 85% of what a child learns is through his or her eyes.

A child's eyes should be examined before entering grade school and yearly thereafter.
