Our Staff

Connie K. Wang, OD

Dr. Connie Wang completed both her Doctor of Optometry and Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California, Berkeley. She has been in practice for over 30 years. Dr. Wang specializes in contact lens, geriatric, and pediatric optometry. She is certified in Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) and Refactive Surgery (LASIK) Co-Management. Dr. Wang is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and the Alameda-Contra Costa Counties Optometric Society.

Outside of work, Dr. Wang loves classical music, travel, and cooking. She is a mother of three children, two daughters and a son. She enjoys involving herself with her son's Boy Scout and Church Bells choir activities. She is bilingual and speaks fluent Mandarin.

Yong Chen

Mr. Chen is our office manager and head optician. He manages the optical portion of our office. He has a B.S., M.S., and PhD in Chemistry, and he is very skilled with repairs, adjustments, and dispensing of eyeglasses. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, golf, and watching sporting events.

Darlene Francisco

Darlene is our optician/eyewear consultant. She earned her Associate Degree of Science in Pharmacy Technology and has been working in the optical field since 2005. With expertise in frame designs and a keen sense of fashion, she enjoys helping each patient one-on-one in choosing the optimal pair of glasses for proper fit, comfort, and style. In addition, she is very knowledgeable in the latest lens materials and coatings to help each patient obtain the best vision possible.

Darlene is also our contact lens training specialist and is experienced in eyeglass repair and adjustments. She speaks fluent Tagalog, and in her spare time, she enjoys working out, jogging outdoors, and reading.

Marcus Wong

Marcus Wong joined our office in September 2011 after graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, with a B.A. in Integrative Biology. He enjoys assisting patients with pre-testing, eyewear dispensing, and frame repairs. Eventually he plans to attend medical school, with the possibility of pursuing ophthalmology. Marcus is able to converse in Spanish and Cantonese, and in his spare time, he loves singing a cappella music and rock climbing.
